Factory-coated Steel Tanks

Aquacare supplies various tank types at competitive prices. We were the first company to introduce glass-fused-to-steel tanks to the aquaculture industry in the 1980’s and have developed a wealth of experience as well as an unrivalled track record with this type of tank. These tanks are factory coated with a rugged long-lasting, easily maintained and cleanable finish and will pack and ship efficiently as prefabricated sheets to any destination in the world. For fresh and low salinity applications they provide a robust, cost effective and reliable solution. For the marine environment we also supply high quality epoxy coated steel tanks. Steel tanks are very strong and can be supplied at virtually any diameter and height and various color options are available. Customers can specify a custom side box, harvest/mort drains and inlet configurations. Steel tanks usually bolt down to a concrete base but other options are possible (e.g. membrane floors).

Fiberglass Tanks

Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) can also be a cost-effective solution in many applications. With a tough, smooth, gelcoat finish available in many colors, these tanks are a great solution for hatchery, nursery and even grow-out tanks. Larger tanks can be supplied and shipped in sections to be bolted together on site. FRP tanks are completely corrosion proof and so often the tank material of choice in marine hatcheries. Smaller tanks usually have an integral floor while larger tanks can be bolted down to concrete or seal to a membrane base.

Plastic Tanks

Aquacare also supplies tanks made of polypropylene (PP) which is a good choice for smaller tanks in corrosive environments. PP is also a good choice for biofilters, protein skimmers and other specialized tanks.
